I thoroughly enjoyed the Oscars last night. 1. Seth MacFarlane may be getting mixed reviews for his job as hosting, but I laughed quite a bit. You just had to expect certain things from the Family Guy creator. 2. The dresses were beautiful, although none really wowed me. 3. I realize I’m way behind with movies and I have quite a few to catch up on, including all the big winners: Argo {best picture}, Lincoln {Daniel Day Lewis – best actor} and Silver Linings Playbook {Jennifer Lawrence – best actress}. In fact, I should really make it a point to see all the movies that were nominated this year.

Speaking of Jennifer Lawrence, I kind of like her a lot after last night. You have to admire someone who falls in front of millions and brushes it off – no biggie {at least it seemed like no big deal to me – then again I’d be standing up there as red as a tomato and sweating through my dress…}. And you have to check out this video of her meeting Jack Nicholson for the first time. She just seems so down to earth. Can’t wait to see what she does next.
