I finally got a chance to go back through my photos from my trip to NYC a couple weeks ago. While extremely short, I had a great time and managed to cram in an incredible amount of site seeing and eating. We saw museums, went to a show, walked through Central Park, the East Village, Chinatown, Little Italy, Midtown, Times Square, saw the inside of too many stores, ate amazing food and tried new drinks. There really wasn’t a huge point to the trip, aside from the fact that I love the city and it was a good excuse to visit my sister and soon-to-be sister-in-law. While it’s always good to be back home, to a much slower paced relaxing life, I am so happy I got to go. Here are a few of my favorite moments and places:
{my sister getting her eyebrows threaded}
Bryant park was a pretty amazing space to see, especially over the lunch hour. There were countless people eating, playing chess and lounging around enjoying the perfect summer day. There was even a concert going on, although the music was…odd. The food on the other hand…amazing.
Dinner for our first night was a new experience – vegan, featuring a fairly large gluten free menu. I didn’t quite know what to expect. Turned out to be one of the best culinary experiences of my life.
{trump tower – love the way a little greenery isn’t forgotten amidst all the concrete}
{amazing architecture at the new york library}
{one of the many stores we stumbled into}
{found time to catch a matinee}
As we were wandering around chinatown, I started to doubt my sister’s navigating abilities. We finally found our destination and it was well worth it – ice cream. I tried the green tea and it was phenomenal.
It just happened to be the annual Italian festival taking place in Little Italy. So much great smelling food. Unfortunately we were on our way to dinner, so I limited myself to one cannoli. First one I’ve ever had – I’d like to do it again please.

Looks like you had fun!
